Meet Jill Rankl

In our second installment featuring a closer look at some of LCR’s fabulous ongoing projects, we introduce another member and designer of the team.  This week, the amazingly talented Jill Rankl!  A Connecticut native and alumna of the Fine Arts and Interior Design Program at the University of Connecticut, Jill has over 25 years design experience in a wide range of projects; public and private, commercial and residential.

As a principal designer at LCR, Jill's projects have taken her throughout the US. In particular though, her work is very well represented in the New York and Connecticut region. Though widely known for her endearing modesty, Jill has a large body of published work - having been repeatedly featured in Hartford Magazine, New York Spaces and Westchester Magazine.

Meet the Designers!

This week is the first in a new feature of ours taking a closer look at L.C.R's fabulous team of designers. We'll be looking in on some of the wonderful ongoing projects this talented bunch has been working on. First up, though, introductions are in order. This week, Robin Jones.

Robin began his design training under the tutelage of legendary antiques dealer and decorator Kenneth Hammit. He went on to study design and architecture at the Rhode Island School of Design. From there it was a successful career both in interiors and the jewelry business.  Robin joined L.C.R in West Hartford in 2011 as a principle designer and has since proved an invaluable member of the team.

Robin just recently completed the long overdue and much lauded updating of the venerable Town and County Club.  A Hartford area institution since its founding in 1925, the project was an immense success!

2015 has so far been incredibly busy for Robin.  In addition to his various project commitments, Robin was able to donate both his time and energy to another Hartford area institution, the Junior League of Hartford. Its triennial Decorator Show House featuring designers from around the region is its biggest fundraiser.  For the second time in a row, he was selected by committee to design the house's dining room.

Being fabulous has always run in his blood...

The Perfect Wedding Gift

Wedding Season is here.   Whether bride or groom or guest; weddings are a big commitment.   Between what to wear, where to stay, how to get there, and then how not to offend your new relatives, it can be just exhausting.  And you still need to find that all important gift!  Registries are designed to make this an easy and successful choice for all parties.  For the bride the chance to make your fantasy wish list come true. For family and friends, the opportunity to get something truly special that will last a lifetime.   It allows you to find a gift specifically tailored to the bride and groom; a choice that reflects their personalities, how they plan to decorate their future home and how they’ll entertain in it.

We’ve recently revamped our website to make this process even easier.  Guests near and far can search a personalized registry and ship it directly to the couple.  No need to lug it onto a plane or worry about trying to fit it into your suitcase.  It makes the decision easy, efficient, and sure to please.

Lots of boutiques tend to offer a specific look or style that can sometimes be limiting.  Fortunately, our designers consistently bring in a beautiful range of lines that cover a myriad of styles and price points.

We repeatedly find brides fitting into one of three categories…Which bride are you?
